Mark Rothko was born in Dvinsk, Russia, on 25th September, 1903yr. He was the 4th child of Jacob Rothkowitz, a pharmacist, and Anna Goldin Rothkowitz , who had married in 1886yr. He and his family immigrated to the US(united states), when he was 10yr old, and settled in Portland, Oregon….
